Eighth grade students are invited to “Be A Riverhawk” for the day! Our Shadow Days have been re-designed to ensure our guests can experience a variety of classes and activities throughout the day as well as be assured that their health and safety are protected.
What’s New in 2020-21
Shadowing students will arrive at Cardinal Newman at 7:50 and pass a COVID risk screening that checks for symptoms identified by the CDC. During the day, they will experience different classes as well as our Enrichment period. They will also have an opportunity to ask students and faculty any questions about classes, sports, extracurricular activities, and student life. Shadow days may be scheduled for the morning classes or for the whole academic day.
Many health and safety precautions are in place at Cardinal Newman to help mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19. All students, employees, visitors and 8th grade guests are required to wear masks. Social distancing measures are also in place in the classrooms, hallways and common areas. Hand sanitizers are also placed in numerous locations in the classrooms and halls.
A Virtual Shadow option is also available as we are running virtual classes to accommodate students affected by COVID. To schedule a virtual Shadow Day please call (804) 447-0161 or email [email protected].
